My paintings explore Embodied Divinity — the sacred presence that reveals itself through nature, animals, the human form, and our experience of being alive. I paint as an act of remembrance in a world that often forgets its place within nature, its reverence for the feminine, and its capacity for wonder. Against the pressures of greed, distraction, and consumerism, my work advocates presence and awe.
Nature is not a backdrop in my paintings but a living presence that connects all things. Animals appear as messengers and mirrors of spirit, while women emerge as objects but as a source of creative power and wisdom.
My work explores the fact that our worth is inherent, that healing is our responsibility, and that connection is a fundamental truth.

Bio
Bjørn Brøndsted is a Danish surrealist painter based in Montréal / Tiohtià in Quebec, Canada, whose work explores the mysterious forces that create and connect everything.
A colorblind artist, Brøndsted has developed a distinctive approach to painting rooted in rigorous color theory, intuition, and trust. What many experience as a limitation has become a defining element of his practice, contributing to the luminous blues, atmospheric landscapes, and expressive use of color that characterize his work.
Born in 1978 in the renowned countercultural neighborhood of Christiania, Brøndsted grew up among artists, activists, and free thinkers committed to alternative ways of living. The community's emphasis on creative freedom, humanist values, authenticity, and authentic connection continues to shape both his life and artistic vision.
Though he was recognized for his talent, being an artist was not encouraged, and as a result his career path was varied - first as a clothing designer and boutique owner, then as a chef in a downtown restaurant in Copenhagen, before he supported marginalized youth in Wales and Scotland and Denmark as a mentor and project worker, and later he built a career as a specialized linguist consultant. Yet throughout every chapter, drawing and painting remained a constant. Becoming a professional artist was like coming home.
Brøndsted attended the Milan Art Institute Mastery Program in 2022. Today, his paintings draw upon a life shaped by art, nature, movement, and intentional living. Through mythic landscapes and symbolic figures, he seeks to create works that express more than words can hold.
